About Decrypt Text
A wrong password or a message that was changed after encryption both fail safely, because AES-GCM checks the data before showing anything.
Encryption happens in this browser tab with the Web Crypto API: AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your password by PBKDF2-SHA-256 (600,000 iterations). Neither the text nor the password is sent anywhere.

How do I decrypt a message?
Paste the text that starts with ks1:, enter the password and decrypt.
What happens with the wrong password?
Decryption fails safely, because AES-GCM checks the data before showing anything. A message changed after encryption also fails.
Can it decrypt messages from other apps?
No. Only messages made with Encrypt Text on this site.
Is the decrypted text stored?
No. It exists only in this browser tab until you close it.
