About Hash Generator
Text is hashed as UTF-8 bytes, matching most programming languages. SHA hashes use the browser’s Web Crypto engine; MD5 is computed in JavaScript because browsers do not provide it. To hash a file, use File Hash and Checksum.

How do I get the SHA-256 hash of a text?

Why does my hash differ from another tool?
Text is hashed as UTF-8 bytes, matching most languages. Check for extra spaces or a trailing new line in the other input.
