How do I fix broken lines in text copied from a PDF?
Choose “Join broken lines”. Lines broken in the middle of sentences are rejoined while paragraph breaks are kept.
What are invisible characters and why remove them?
Characters such as zero-width spaces cannot be seen but cause problems in forms and code. They are removed by default.
Can it straighten curly quotes?
Yes. Turn on “Straighten quotes and dashes”.
What else can it remove?
Extra spaces, non-breaking spaces, blank lines, HTML tags, emoji and accents (é → e), each with its own switch.
