About Convert to JPG
Choose an image that needs broad JPG compatibility. Native PNG, GIF, WebP, BMP and AVIF decoding uses the browser. SVG is rebuilt from a strict set of drawing elements before decoding; scripts, resource links and unsupported elements are removed. TIFF decoding is loaded only for TIFF input and exports the first readable image.
JPG discards transparency, so inspect the chosen background around logos and cutouts. Animated GIF input becomes a single frame. Some TIFF compression variants or complex SVG artwork will not survive this workflow faithfully. HEIC/HEIF must be exported as JPG or PNG in your photo application first; this page does not pretend to decode it.
Convert to JPG: frequently asked questions
Which files can I convert to JPG?
PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, TIFF and simple SVG images. TIFF support is loaded only when you open a TIFF, and the first readable image in the file is converted.
Can I convert HEIC iPhone photos here?
Not yet. This page does not decode HEIC or HEIF. Export the photo as JPG from your phone’s photo app, or change the iPhone camera setting to “Most Compatible”.
What colour replaces a transparent background?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose before exporting. Check logos and cut-outs for unexpected edges.
Is it safe to convert an SVG from someone else?
The SVG is rebuilt from a strict set of drawing elements before it is drawn. Scripts, links to other files and unsupported elements are removed, so complex artwork may look simpler.
