About Extract Pages
Keep a subset of a PDF for a recipient who does not need the full document. Select the desired page checkboxes and export them into a new file. The original stays untouched, making this useful for sharing a chapter or a set of supporting pages.
Selection order follows the document’s page list. Check references to missing pages before sharing an extract, especially when the original contains an index or cross-references. Page copying preserves the visible content but is not a promise to retain every document-level attachment, form relationship, outline or digital signature.
Extract Pages: frequently asked questions
How do I save only certain pages of a PDF?
Choose the PDF, unselect the pages you do not need and save. The selected pages become a new PDF in their original order.
What is the difference between Extract Pages and Split PDF?
Extract Pages makes one new PDF from the pages you pick. Split PDF can also make many files, one per page or per range.
Will links to other pages still work?
Links and table-of-contents entries that point to pages you left out will not work. Check cross-references before sharing.
Can I change the page order?
Use Organize PDF to reorder, rotate or insert pages from other files.
