About Watermark PDF
Place a text label or supplied image on selected PDF pages. Use percentage position controls, opacity and image scale to choose a visible but readable mark. A page range allows the cover or particular appendices to remain unmarked.
Watermarks are additions, not access control or proof of ownership. A low-opacity label may disappear on a dark photograph, while a large opaque image can obscure text. PDF text overlays use a standard Latin font; upload a rendered PNG when a logo or another writing system is required. Keep a clean original because removing an added mark later is a different task.
Watermark PDF: frequently asked questions
How do I add a watermark to a PDF?
Choose the PDF, type the text or pick an image, then set the position, opacity, size and the pages to mark.
Can I leave the first page unmarked?
Yes. Enter a page range so only those pages receive the watermark.
Why do some characters not appear in my text watermark?
Text watermarks use a standard Latin font. For other writing systems or a styled logo, use a PNG image instead.
Does a watermark protect my PDF?
It labels the document but does not stop copying or editing. For access control, add a password with Protect PDF.
