About Circle Crop
Choose which part of the photo to keep and an output size. 400 × 400 px or larger suits most profile pictures. The outside stays transparent in PNG and WebP.
Processing happens in this browser tab: your images are never uploaded, and the result is ready as soon as you download it. Large photos take a moment longer on phones; nothing is limited by size.
Circle Crop: frequently asked questions
How do I crop a photo into a circle?
Choose the photo, pick which part to keep (centre, top, bottom, left or right) and an output size. The outside of the circle stays transparent.
What size should a profile picture be?
400 × 400 pixels or larger suits most sites. You can keep the original size or choose 256, 400, 512 or 1024 px.
Can I add a coloured ring?
Yes. Set a ring width and colour to draw a border around the circle.
Why is the background white after uploading?
Some sites fill transparency with white. The file itself keeps transparent corners when saved as PNG, WebP or AVIF.
