About Compare PDF

Choose two PDFs and inspect corresponding pages side by side. Enter a page number that exists in both documents. A third image highlights changed rendered pixels, while a text report shows the locally extracted text from each page. The report can be downloaded.

Visual differences include antialiasing, font rendering and shifted layout, so they are not a semantic change count. Text comparison can miss differences in scans or produce misleading order in complex columns. A page inserted near the beginning shifts later page correspondence; compare the appropriate documents and use the side-by-side view as the final check.

Compare PDF: frequently asked questions

How do I compare two PDFs?

Choose both PDFs and a page number that exists in each. You see the pages side by side, an image highlighting changed pixels and a report of the text on each page.

Can I download the comparison?

Yes. The text report can be downloaded.

Why are small differences highlighted everywhere?

Pixel comparison also catches font smoothing and slightly shifted layout, so treat it as a visual guide rather than a count of edits.

What if a page was added in one version?

Later pages shift, so compare the matching page numbers in each document.
