About Crop Image
Crop an image to focus attention or fit a particular shape. Move the selection over the preview and drag its handles to resize it, or use the labelled pixel coordinates for precise keyboard control. Aspect presets help produce a square, a landscape frame or a portrait without guessing.
The crop is measured in original image pixels, even when the preview is displayed smaller on a phone. Keep all four boundaries within the image. Cropping permanently removes those outer pixels from the exported copy, but it does not change your source file. A very small crop will look soft when enlarged later, so leave enough resolution for its intended use.
Crop Image: frequently asked questions
How do I crop an image to a square?
Choose the image, pick the square preset and move the selection over the part you want to keep. There are also presets for common landscape and portrait shapes.
Can I crop to exact pixel values?
Yes. Enter the left, top, width and height in pixels. They are measured in the original image, even when the preview is shown smaller on a phone.
Does cropping change my original file?
No. You download a new cropped copy; the original on your device is left untouched.
Why does my crop look blurry when enlarged?
Cropping keeps fewer pixels. A small crop shown at a large size looks soft, so leave enough resolution for where the picture will be used.
