About Stereo to Mono
Both channels are mixed together, so nothing is lost when one side was louder. Mono files are useful for voice recordings and some upload forms. Videos keep their picture unchanged.
Processing happens in this tab with FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly; your recordings are never uploaded. The first video or audio tool you use downloads the 10 MB engine once and keeps it cached for next time. On phones, files are processed one at a time to stay within memory, and long recordings take a little longer. Keep the tab open until the download appears.
