A little snag.
Compress several images together
Use one maximum size for every image. Processing is sequential; each result is measured. Metadata is removed.
How to use Compress Image
- Choose your image, or drop it on the page.
- Adjust the settings in the side panel. The preview updates as you go.
- Select “Compress image”.
- Download the result. Your original file is left unchanged.
Private by design. Your files are processed in this browser tab and are never uploaded to KittySuite.
Preparing your compress image to 20 kb result
A 20 KB limit leaves little room for texture. Start with a tightly framed image and choose JPG for a photograph. If the receiving portal requires fixed pixels, enter those first and keep the exact-dimensions option selected. The tool then searches quality settings without silently resizing your image. If the limit cannot be met, the result says so. PNG signatures can sometimes remain compact, but a photograph saved as PNG is often too large. Requirements vary. Check the official notice or portal before submitting.
Small upload limits need measured bytes, not a filename that says “compressed”. Start with the maximum size the destination accepts. Choose its required format, then adjust the quality preference. Enable smaller dimensions only when the destination allows them. The search works with actual encoded files and reports the closest result it can produce within bounded attempts.
A flat signature and a textured photograph behave very differently. PNG keeps exact pixels but may be larger. JPG and WebP can reduce photographic detail to save space. Inspect small text and facial details in the before/after previews. Exact dimensions disable downscaling; an impossible minimum or maximum is reported instead of padded with filler bytes.
Compress Image: frequently asked questions
How do I compress an image to a specific size, like 50 KB?
Choose your image, pick the maximum file size and select Compress image. The tool searches for the best quality that fits under the limit and shows the real file size before you download it.
Which image formats can I compress?
You can open JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF images and save the result as WebP, JPG, PNG or AVIF. AVIF appears only when your browser can create it.
Will compressing my image make it look worse?
A smaller file always keeps less detail, but moderate compression is hard to see. Compare the preview with the original; if the limit is very small, allow smaller dimensions so fewer pixels have to fit.
What if the image cannot reach my target size?
The tool tells you the closest size it could reach instead of padding or faking the result. Lower the dimensions, switch to JPG or WebP, or choose a less strict limit.
Can I compress several photos at once?
Yes. Below the main tool you can add several JPG, PNG or WebP images; they are compressed one after another in your browser and can be downloaded together.
